Make story writing easy with this pack of 50 cards. Split into 5 categories - Place, character, plot, problem and saviour. Child can pick a card from each category and read aloud making up the story as they go. It can also be used for ideas to write their own story. Cards in the character and saviour categories can obviously be switched round and more than one character can be chosen.

A table top laminate to aid the child’s day to day learning. On this A4 sheet you have, days of the week, months of the year, seasons, the alphabet in lower and upper case letters, numbers to 20, Tricky words in seperate sections - phase 2, 3, 4 and 5, as well as a space for the child to practise their name or a word they need to work on spelling. There are 5 different themes.

These Phase 2 Phoneme Frames are pre-filled. These can be used as assessment or just as an extra activity in the classroom. Child reads the word and draws a picture above of what they have read. They can be printed off and put in their books or laminated as an extra resource in phonics or in class.

Once children have been trained, it becomes second nature for them to enter the classroom and take out their laminate sheet and white board pen to practise these simple activities whilst you’re welcoming the rest of the children into the class room. It is then easily cleaned off ready to use the next day.

Week 1, day 5 of Phase 2, Recapping the letter sounds taught in week one. 7 Pages which includes, planning, sound cards for week 1, assessment grid, Week 1 Letter writing as well as a game and flash cards with words containing this weeks sounds. Whenever I start a phonics lesson I always sing and sign the alphabet with the children. Doing it this way encourages the children to sing the song slowly and lessons the confusion when it comes to the… L, m, n, o, p part.

There are 4 pages which can be used as 4 worksheets or laminated and sliced to create 24 flash cards. Each sheet contains 6 cards with phase 4 pictures. The child writes the simple CVC word then on the second part writes the same word but needs to identify the missing sound to create the phase4 word. 3 sheets have no letters to help where as one sheet has the CVC word already written for them and they just need to write in the missing sound.
